Video survey notice
Information pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 GDPR for road users in the area of our count locations
What this is about
Traffic is being recorded automatically at this location for a traffic survey – usually on behalf of a public authority or an engineering firm. The aim is to determine traffic volumes and flows, not to monitor or identify individuals.
What is recorded
- Video images in greyscale only and at reduced resolution (max. 1200 × 800 pixels)
- Compression takes place in the camera and is irreversible
- There is no traffic surveillance and no identification of individuals
Controller
The controller is the client commissioning the survey; mouver carries out the survey on its behalf. For its own research projects, mouver GmbH – mobilität und verkehr, Rubensstraße 14, 30177 Hannover, is the controller.
Purpose and legal basis
Processing serves transport planning and is carried out in the public interest or on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR).
Storage of the recordings
The recordings are stored and processed only on data-protection assured infrastructure, using our own software and without third-party AI services. Access is only possible via time-limited, project-specific links. Once the analysis is complete, we archive the recordings at a further reduced resolution. Clients generally receive only aggregated or anonymised count data; to verify individual results they may receive selected video excerpts, which contain no personal data and are additionally compressed before handover. We keep raw videos only for the duration of project processing.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection (Art. 15–18 and 21 GDPR) as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Contact: contact@mouver.de
